What we grow nourishes community.
Community support, in turn, allows us to care for land, kūpuna kalo, and the people who steward them. If you are unable to commit to poi-scription pickup, or wish to support this work without receiving poi, we invite you to contribute through donation.
Donation Areas
Kūpuna Kalo Varieties
Support the ongoing protection and cultivation of heirloom kūpuna kalo, including the planting, harvesting, watching and knowing - the names, traits and stories of these important varieties. Currently our collection holds 80 different kalo, mostly kūpuna varieties as well as some others that are important to know too.
Supporting the Mahiʻai
Support the mahiʻai — the hands, hearts, and bodies in pilina with ʻāina. This offering sustains the people who tend the land daily, carry generational knowledge, and commit their lives to growing kalo for community. At a time when farming alone rarely provides a living wage, your support helps make this work viable.
ʻĀina Stewardship & Education
Care for ʻāina through regenerative dryland farming in our kīhāpai (raised-bed systems). This support sustains soil health, water stewardship, and long-term resilience, while welcoming keiki, families, and visiting groups to learn and build relationship with ʻāina through hands-on experience.
Become a Monthly Sustainer
Monthly sustainers provide steady support for the farm and our community work. This option is for those who wish to contribute regularly without receiving poi, helping ensure poi-scription spaces remain available for those able to commit to monthly pickup.
